Teen Read Week Activities

Teen Read Week is October 13-17, 2014.  It is a national literacy initiative of the Young Adult Library Services Association that is aimed at teens, their parents, librarians, educators, booksellers and other concerned adults.  The continuing message of the Teen Read Week initiative is to encourage teens to "Read For The Fun Of It".

The following events will be hosted by the Library/Media Center:

  • Book Trailer Event - October 14 (Students will premier several books the library has available for check-out).
  • Book Exchange Event - October 15 (Promotes literacy and increases recycling awareness with reading books).
  • 5th Annual Read-A-Thon - October 15 (Annual fundraiser to purchase new books for the library).

For further details and permission slips, please visit the Library/Media Center Web Page.
