Temecula Middle School

Marvin Morton, Principal

On behalf of the Temecula Middle School Bobcat staff, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2018/19 school year.  We are already off to a great start!

The TMS faculty and staff are looking forward to a year filled with great teaching and high levels of student learning.  That said, we know that our middle school students' success begins with their emotional well being.  Because of that, the primary focus on our staff is to maintain a positive school climate where all of our students feel connected, supported, and valued.  Our staff is implementing a plan for improved social-emotional support for all of our students because we know that this will lead us to even great academic and all-around success.

By the end of this year, our students will certainly have a deep understanding of our school's mission:  that all students learn with P.R.I.D.E. (Participation, Responsibility, Integrity, Determination and Effort).  TMS teachers are working to instill these characteristics in each of our students, and we will recognize them and celebrate their success along the way.

A little about me:  I have resided in Temecula with my wife and three children since 2006.  When I have free time, I like to spend the day barbecuing, reading, playing sports, and catching a UCLA football or basketball game (GO BRUINS!).  We also have three dogs (Duke, Daisy and Zoey)--and I have no idea how that happened...

Go Bobcats!

Cindy Sparks, Assistant Principal

I feel privileged to be a part of Temecula Middle School!  Working in such a wonderful community, with our outstanding staff, is truly an honor.  After earning my B.A. at California State University, Long Beach, I moved to Arizona where I taught high school English for several years.  In 1994, I earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling at Arizona State University.  Shortly thereafter, I moved out of the classroom into a middle school counseling position.  Prior to becoming the assistant principal here,  I spent six years in the counseling office at Day Middle School.  I’m looking forward to another great year at Temecula Middle School!
